“An interesting adaption of public cloud is the emergence of virtual private cloud computing. In this model a customer can leverage a cloud offering but in a fully segregated partition within the cloud providers environment, with private and secure networking connections within and between data centers. Some aspects of scale, latency and security might become lesser issues if a company fully leverages such a virtual private cloud offering. Careful system design is critical to avoid latency due to cross data-center integration.”
